Today was our visit to the west wall, behind the west wall and to see the Dome of the Rock
At theh Temple Mount, we passed through security then along a temporary bridge to the large open area. Security was always present
Here are bullet impacts (I believe)
The lesser of the two domes
The gate
The greater and lesser domes
Another set of arches with Stephen waiting for me (again - sigh)
Then along narrow streets
Another narrow street
Then off to the model of the old city - the plan
Different aspects of the model

Ellen and the model
Eitan explaining all things and Seah absorbing all things
Interesting water feather, a plumber's friend, without a handle
Then off to the Holocaust Museum - this fountain reminds me of a Then off to the Biblical Gardens and the passover meal. For me this was one of the more interesting and instructive episodes of our journey through the past. The context and cultural insights into how one sits, how one eats, how one prays was refreshing
Then off to the Holocaust Museum - this interesting triangular structure provided light for the exhibits below
A large vase outside the museum
A strange sculpture
A sculpture of a people tree - quite interesting
A freight car used by the Nazis
A monument to the survivors
Then back to the west wall for an adventure along the tunnel behind the wall
plumber's friend, without a handle
Large stones placed by King Herod's workers - some must have been 20 - 30 m long. Quaried at the end of the tunnel, one wonders how they were moved to their final resting place
and a surprise - a young bride came for praying before her wedding
The praying place
I was not the only one taking photos

Praying
And a reminder of the outside world just outside the gate
