Got up to run this morning and there was another silent lightning show in progress. Not a great time for running but an opportunity to improve my photos of lighting. Today the frequency of events was low, so I used a 20 sec exposure, f/8. Worked well. Here is the first event - to the right of The Anchorage
A huge cloud to my right - but the window obscured properly orienting the camera - so this is the best I could do
Another event over the Anchorage
Branching lightning
This event was mostly hidden
Backlit clouds
Then some low altitude clouds starting rolling in - reflecting the light from the sodium vapor street lights
Backlit clouds
Most lighting was totally obscured by the lower level of whatever - reflecting the street lights
