I went out this moring to look for spiders but there was a heavy fog. Sort of frustrated, I started to walk back and saw an amazing spider web - heavily laden with morning fog. So this is a collection of what you might call spider web art
See pod web
Nephila clavipes and her huge web
A much smaller wet web
Conical web and its owner
Side view of the conical web
Conical web - Owner is trying to check me out - but only legs appear
The owner of the conical web
Small spiders can create an enormous amount of silk. So much protein to fabricate - how?
Tiny suspended web
Droplets against green
This is an amazing display of behavior. The bottom half of the web is circular - but the top half has a stair-step appearance and symmetric more or less
Three webs
Approaching breakfast
Preparing breakfast
Gasteracantha cancriformis weaving her web and not cooperating - only displays her ventral side
More weaving
