I did not understand what this lady was doing - later I figured out she was cleaning garlic
Cleaning garlic
What I call the garlic walk - sort of stomping on the garlic and breaking the covering skin
More garlic cleaning
There are lots of garlic things in these baskets - which in the water seem to loosen the covering skin
Here is a video of the ladies stomping and cleaning the garlic
Beyond the garlic ladies - some guys fishing and ladies washing

Then I turned around and started walking back to the hotel - past the garlic ladies. And down wind - it was clear this was garlic - lots of it
