Feb 14, 2009: Valentine's Dinner
This was a total surprise. Ellen and I decided to visit our favorite place
in Bintan for Valentine's weekend. Ellen suggested dinner on our little
patio so I went email to Herlina asking for a room with a larger patio so
we could order dinner form room service. Herlina replied that perhaps I would
like to consider something from their special Valentine's menu and sent to
me a copy of the menu. Well, the Romeo and Juliet seemed quite appropriate.
So I asked Herlina to include that. When we arrived, we were assigned to
a room with a large porch on the ground level - perfect for dinner the
following evening. Sometime, about mid day - Ellen asked about getting
a table for dinner and I said - hmmm - lets just watch and see what happens.
Several hours later - a table appeared and then - it was transformed into
a private dining area. Tjiagus Thamrin (the owner) and his team simply
worked small miricles and gave us one of out best Valentine dinners ever. Here
is the story.
