Visit Istanbul, of course
This is a continuation of the story of Frank and Ellen during their Fulbright adventure at the University of Patras. As you already know, we visited Rome in order to avoid contributing to the alien-police fund at the Patras Police office (required if you stay > 3 months). Pleased with our visit to Italy in order to obtain an Italian stamp in our passport, we found ourselves on Rhodes for Christmas with all our kids, grandkids etc. When we failed to find a way to visit Crete - we decided to go to Turkey - via Olympic Airways, of course. This is our story. We visited Istanbul - stayed at a hotel in Taksim square and used tollies and buses for transport (fantatic). The photos tell it better than words.
