I was late this morning because last night I came here to test for UV illuminated insects (mostly scorpions). I round none - so here I am. And a group from the Singapore Nature Photo group are already hard at work. One found this caterpillar - a really amazing colorful creature. Feathers around the perimeters and so many interesting features.
Her face - it must be a female to have such warm colors
Another view of the face
Closer
Then she decided to look underneath the leaf
Here she is hunting
Nother look at her face
From the side
And from behind
Close by was an Argyrodes and you can see the reflection of the sky on her highly polished abdomen
Here she is haravesting silk
A dew drop - and image of a leaf
Another view
A clear view of the leaf image, refracted by the dew drop
Another view
A skipper sunning herself
From the other side
And a fly watching
