Welcome to Duke-NUS Medical School Mobile Medicine Site
Here you can view live data streams from subjects, configure SMS reminders and administer subject roles. We have added GPS tags in order to facilitate tracking
ambulatory patients - whether on foot, in a car, bus or in flight. See "View
Geo-Data" for examples of tracking. To view my oximeter data see
"View MobileMedicine Data Stream" and select +65854506349.multiBPO2 for my
Singapore data dn +18134733528.multiO2 for my Florida data.
At Duke-NUS Medical School, we are developing tools for both
tomorrow's doctors and tomorrow's patients. Mobile phones partnered with
bluetooth enabled medical transducers provides an immediate way to monitor
patients both at home and on the move.
Data are acquired from patients through their smart phones. Data are
transported via WiFi, 3G or SMS, depending on availability of the transport
process. Received data are continuously monitored by "alert" rules and
SMS alert messages are
sent to the primary docs (with option to opt in or opt out). In addition
to the data triggering the alert, the doc message references the patient's
primary problem.
Here you can view live data streams from subjects, configure SMS reminders
and administer subject roles. Recently we added GPS tags as a way of tracking
an ambulatory patient - whether walking, in a car / bus or in flight.
