The trail from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to BBT terminal to Bintan Agro Beach Resort - then a ride with Henly and snorkelling at Mapur Island
Sunrise breakfast - banana pancake by Herman Zabuza - each morning Herman brings a surprise - before the restaurant opens - fried bananas or this time banana pancake (martabak pisang)
Later fried bananas
and a 2nd cup of coffee - Remember this is about 6am - an hour before Asiana opens - the staff is always quite forgiving of my sunrise visits and adapts to provide coffee and banana things - my favorites
Still life of pisang goreng and 2nd cup of coffee - Mapur island in the background

I have started exploring the time relationship of coral bleaching. The bleaching is a result of high water temperatures. Each visit, I measure the temperature looking for correlations with coral health.
Temp Feb 13 29.4C (no bleaching) March 13, 30.3C (no bleaching) June 18 31.1C (no bleaching) July 9 31.1C (minimal bleaching) Sept 3 30.2 (significant bleaching)I suspect that the exposure to high temps of June, July and August is enough to cause off migration of the microorganizms that bring color to the coral - but the bleaching is not obvioius for a month or so
Green acroproa
I suspect this is a bleached christmas tree worm
This is an unbleached Widi - floating without life jacket
