While not a great day for an eclipse, the clouds certainly provided some interesting views of the sun during the eclipse. I missed the maximum because of the clouds - but here is the story. I parked myself on the 10th floor of our new building and just waited and waited for the clouds to disappear. They did not - but it was quite an interesting time none-the-less. Here is a typical photo of the cloud challenge
But to the northwest, things looked like they might improve
Refelctions from the side of the building
Eclipse reflections when the clouds obscured the eclipse
Looking up under the grill work in our new building
Here is my setup - the gray thing on the flash is a GPS for recording satellite time and GPS coordinates (the building should be stationary - this was a small test.
This is a photo of the sun at 15:37 - with minimal clouds. Nice sharp borders of the sun.
